“Just a quick message to say thank you so much for the training day at Speakers Corner at the weekend. The day was very well structured, informative and great fun. You shared your knowledge, your passion and your art which was very eye opening. I learned about composition, the importance of the critical moment, staying with it, story telling and camera settings. Overall, it was a thoroughly good day and I will definitely recommend the course to my friends.” Steve Bishop

“Signing up for a street photography course, I thought I was going to Istanbul for a few days to chill and take some pretty pictures along the way. How wrong could I be, but in a fantastic way!

I ended up at morning prayers at a Mosque in the suburbs of Istanbul. It was an unique experience and we were made very welcome. I got what I initially thought were some shots that I was pleased with. But when Mark showed me his photographs, it was like I had been to different mosque all together. For the next two days Mark took me under his wing and guided me with his experienced eye and inspired top tips. He developed my confidence where to position myself in relation to the crowd, and showed me how his approach to people immediately put the subject at ease so that they continued being themselves doing what they were doing, allowing for natural candid shots.” Steve Tarling

“This was a very well prepared trip visiting places that we would not normally see. The Course Trainer – Mark Seymour, was an excellent leader who had the ability to take us out of our comfort zones in the markets with a resulting confidence. He split up the group up daily so we got to go out photographing with different photographers in the group which allowed us to learn from all the other people on the course. All in all it was a well-run enjoyable couple of weeks and we would go with Mark again.” Alison Tuck

“Having been on a number of Mark Seymour’s photography workshops abroad I am always so brilliantly surprised by how much more there is to learn, how much more fun we seem to have on each adventure and how much better my photography becomes as well as the level of confidence in photographic travel that I seem to build.

The photography course in Myanmar was an adventure through a country where quite often, I felt like the first Western-looking person that many locals may have seen with their own eyes. The hustle and bustle of the markets, the smiles and kindness of local people, a truly different way of life that is rarely documented in the West, really makes for a life-long memory with an abundance of great pictures to hang on my wall.

More than this however, is the great company that Mark provides – the course is made special by his personality, his humour, his down-to-earth approach, his friendly humility and the teachings of all things photography when out shooting in the day as well as back in the hotel in the evening – going through images and critiquing how we could each improve the next day.

Highly highly recommended” Andy Mac

“I had the pleasure of being on Mark’s street photography workshop in Kolkata, India. Mark had organised the workshop extremely well and took time to explain exactly where we would going and what would get from the workshop, which was very reassuring. The workshop was well paced and we visited some great photographic locations, with some not being your usual tourist locations. This all lead to some wonderful photographic opportunities and in no time memory cards were filling up!” Steve Beckett
